Snorkeling gear that I use

I use these items and like them. Also, I am an affiliate, so I will get a little kick back for selling them that helps support making my art, so thank you!

Hooded One Piece Rash Guard - This is what I currently wear out diving. It has a hood to protect your ears, neck and scalp from the sun, wrist straps so you can put gloves on without the sleeves slipping and foot straps so you can put on dive socks without the legs slipping. It is good protection from the sun and jellyfish. This was out of stock last time I checked but leaving the link in case it comes back.

One Piece Rash Guard - This is my best advice for an alternate rash guard until the hooded one comes back in stock. I have not tried this one yet though…

Cressi Fins - I currently use these, and they are the best fins that I have had so far. I have had two sets and would buy them again. You are probably going to want a pair of dive socks with them.

Snorkel Vest - I currently use this. You can end up far from shore when you snorkel. If you get hurt or exhausted out in the water, you can blow this vest up with the mouthpiece on the front and paddle home safely.

Titanium Dive Knife - I currently use this. When you think of dive knives you might think about sharks, but things like fishing line are more likely to tangle up around you and drown you. This knife is rust proof and I keep it on me for emergencies.

Emergency Whistle - I currently use this. If you get into trouble you want a way to get attention. I wear this on my snorkel vest, just in case.

Underwater Selfie Stick - I use this frequently because it has nice reach.

Dive Gear Bag - I currently use this. I have bought 2 of these over the years and love them.

Mares Dive Gloves - I currently use this. I have worn these gloves since 2015 and they are still going strong.

Pole Spear - I hunt with a camera these days so I don’t spear fish much any more, but this is what I learned with and I would recommend it to anyone.

Since I buy my mask and snorkel locally, here is a recommendation to get you started. I have not tried it personally.

I get dry top snorkels with a silicone mouthpiece, flexible tube, and purge valve. I buy silicone masks with lenses that match my prescription. The snorkel in this set has the same features as the one that I use, and the mask is similar but without the custom lenses.
